It takes approx 150,000 NEW jobs per month to keep up with population growth. Will things get better or worse for American workers over the next several months?

BTW, all of this is occuring with the Bush tax cuts in full effect.

I disagree on numerous levels. Most importantly, the GOP has not been acting. They have been doing what comes to them naturally.

I should think so since the economy is actually doing really well according to the latest statistics, that the media just could not report yesterday. We’re we failed is that with all the increased revenues and increases elsewhere, we failed to reign in spending, becuase we’ve all been acting like spend and tax democrats.

It will get better…then after the Olympics, all hell is gonna break loose. None of the industrialized countries what to deal with financial panic during the olympics games. The housing crisis will worsen and the credit crunch will get tighter.

Sounds like we need another round of tax AND spending cuts

Ours can, but can China’s?

This is the what happens when you don’t regulate financial institutions properly (i.e. the mortgage industry) and keep putting alternative energy off for too long…

Clinton started the “service economy”. The hand writing was on the wall. It’s time to redefine our trade and energy policies, and not by getting lost on the way to the Canadian embassy.

Yes we can sustain these losses and still persevere.

We have to remain positive so we will stay focused on soul-u-tions but we also have to see this as a huge wake up call that we have been on the wrong track & are on the wrong track & if we continue doing the same thing it will be to late. We are getting a message & there is a saying that first it comes like a pebble in your shoe, then it comes like a rock, if you still don’t get the message it come to you like a brick, then a brick wall then the wall will fall in & the whole building on you if you can’t get the message before then. I believe we have a choose at this point but it is shocking to me that people can not discern the truth. We are offered a gift & yet we still can’t see if enough people will see this or if they will ignore their inner guidance & have a hard lesson.

We have been through a lot worse before and this too shall pass!

Yes, as has been proven the economy can even grow with this kind of job loss, let alone survive.

BTW, all of this is occuring with the HIGHER MINIMUM WAGE in full effect.

FIXED THAT FOR YOU

the unemployment rates for adult men (5.3 percent) and whites (5.1 percent) edged up while the rates for adult women (4.6 percent), blacks (9.7 percent), and Hispanics (7.4 percent) were little changed. The jobless rate for teenagers increased to 20.3 percent in July.

I know being the hack that you are facts dont matter do they
