the Anderson Economic Group of East Lansing says the alternative, with Chrysler being sold in pieces, would result in many more job losses. A GM acquisition, with possible help from the federal government, is a likely possibility, Patrick Anderson, the GMs CEO, said in a conference call with the Associated Press. “It’s a much bigger job loss and a much bigger taxpayer hit if Chrysler simply goes out of business or is dismantled,” Anderson said. Typical. Take care of the share holders and CEOs, piss on the employees. Funny isn’t it, when a company goes bankrupt, who is at the end of the “pay me” line? That’s right, the poor shmucks who worked there. Great priorities in this fuckin country. Now excuse me because I am uber pissed off now.

GM is going to go out of business so that will be 120,000 jobs+. 1 in 14 jobs in America is tied to the auto industry. Better get a bankruptcy attorney.

regardless of GM/Chrysler pact or not there are going to be job losses anyway in the Big 3 thats a fact one of them will fall into bankruptcy regardless of merger or not

GM and Chrysler is themselves to blame. not the workers not japan, not the price of petrol.
