Opel deal crash: Rage as GM plans 10,000 job cuts

Thursday, November 12th, 2009 John

General Motors has confirmed that it will cut ten thousand jobs across Europe at its Opel unit. Workers in Germany say they will protest the decision. This comes a day after GM abandoned plans to sell Opel to a consortium of Canadian firm Magna and Russia’s Sberbank.

MOOnLight2k,

No need to be sorry, your English was brutally accurate. But please place responsibility squarely where it belongs: President Obama runs GM, not Americans.

It`s simply a shame. I am happy Germany cooperates with the UK, Russia, China and France. It´s time the change the to future asian market.

Russian chicanery over gas? Funny.

By SvrchovaneCechy on November 12th, 2009 at 5:15 PM

Anglos proved it once again - they can not be trusted under any circumstance, no matter how many papers they signed. Of course it is political move to publicly hurt and lesson Russia. NWO banking scum after robbing trillions from American taxpayer and rest of the world is biting again. No matter what, they will never get Russia. Their empire of lies is going to collapse soon.

Will never buy a GM car! (they are all ugly)

By VictorWasechkin on November 12th, 2009 at 5:15 PM

yeah, amurka is a stupid whore. They will sacrifice 10000 jobs to add to their unemployment just not to give out any ’secrets’ to Russia. At least we’ll cooperate with Germany, France and Japan.

By MOOnLight2k on November 12th, 2009 at 5:15 PM

There is no problems about this here in Russia. This deal lost all it’s meaning just when GM said that there would be no technologies import to VAZ. The only reason for Sberbank to continue this deal was ‘not to lose it’s word’ to Germany and GM’s workers.

America has acted as a cheap whore again. It isn’t polite and it’s not fair at all. =’(

PS: Sorry 4 my English =( I know, it’ bad =(

Blow it out your ass pig. You should be worried about the Russian auto industry. The U.S. empire will be around long after you are dead and forgotten.

By sarahwatts08 on November 12th, 2009 at 5:15 PM

I hate GM!!!!!!

hahahaha what an excuse you are. LMAO

You poor little boy.

By chekist1917 on November 12th, 2009 at 5:15 PM

What a laughable sack of shit you are.
Don’t you have a big black dick to go suck faggot?

WHAT?! Government backed loans to large multinationals didn’t have the desired effect? Say it isn’t so!

Government Motors will stick it to the tax payers.

How many cars do you think GM will sell now? LMAO

Something tells me that this US government owned company is toast just like their dollar. Why should any country loan more money to the USA?

I believe we are about to see the death of an Empire.

i still cant understand how Opel could sell itself to any other company years ago,, it all started back then. GOTTA ADMIT their cars were too (the 1st Omega series was the last real car Opel ever made), too reliable and durable, so it wasn’t good for the profits and CEO’s bonuses,,, so they bottom line, they sold their own ass to the butcher , and pretended not to know.

That is a good new to Opel, to stay on GM galaxy ! Bad new for Magna &Sberbank !

Wow…so shocking… (NOT)

By charlessmyth on November 12th, 2009 at 5:15 PM

Opel is toast, no matter which way the deal would have gone, so Germany can now get on with improving its railway system, and building a fleet of LPG/LNG tankers to circumvent Russian chicanery over gas and the Ukraine. The only losers in this saga, are those who expected to trouser tens-of-millions of €uros, at the taxpayers’ expense.

Never Trust a Snake Company

We American taxpayers bail the mout and this is the thanks? FUCK GM, Chrysler and the Banks!
